Summer is a great time to make music! We offer flexible summer scheduling for private lessons in guitar, voice, piano, and violin from now to Labor day.
We also have several fun workshops to get your groove on starting the week of July 15th through August (6 weeks):
Piano for Pre-K/K (ages 3.5-6)
Kids on Keys (ages 7-12)
Voice class (ages 9-14)
Ensemble I (ages 8-12), all instruments
Ensemble II (ages 13-18), all instruments
Piano 101 (teens/adults)
Class sizes are limited to 6 participants so that we can give you the attention you deserve!
Our theme this year is “Connecting through Music.” We want to know: How do you share music? Let us know by replying to this post! #musicalconnections #sharemusic
In the studio, musical challenges are in effect, Harry Potter style: Students of all ages and instruments are part of a House, except our houses are named after musical composers (the Schumann, Joplin, Liszt, Mendelssohn, and Debussy House). You earn points for your team by connecting through music in any of the following ways:
This workshop combines piano and voice. Students learn how to rock the rhythm, make the tune sing, add harmony, and perform with a group. We will perform on the last day.
Students will create their own music and make a demo CD using GarageBand. Topics include experiencing different rhythmic meters, composing a melody, harmonizing the melody, and using chord progressions–while exploring diverse styles and traditions.
We will begin accepting new students on May 26, 2017. Purchase 4, 8, or 12 lesson packages for Summer 2017. See Summer Lessons 2017 or Contact Us for more information.
Also, new and continuing students who take summer lessons are entitled to early registration for the 2017-2018 school year.
Next group class session begins June 5, 2017. See Group Classes.
We just discovered a great free app/website called Chromatik. This app/website has tons of free arrangements of sheet music for all instruments–and in the app, the sheet music will even “play” (scroll through) as you work on sightreading. No page turning! Songs are organized by genre: “Chart Toppers,” “Disney Songbook,” and “60s” to “90s”–just to name a few. Most songs have a YouTube clip attached so that you can listen to the song. There are “EasyNote” arrangements for beginners. There’s even a metronome in the app. Get playing!
Fall lesson sign-up has begun for piano lessons and vocal lessons. The fall semester begins Wednesday, September 3rd. This fall, our special topic is “Music throughout the Ages.” Each month, along with regular lessons, we will be looking at a particular time period, including style and notable composers, starting off with Baroque in September–stay tuned for more information!
Visit Private Lessons and Registration for more information.
What’s better than having fun learning to read the notes on the staff? Doing it for free!
Helpful for students of any instrument. There’s even a section for learning familiar Christmas Carols!

Have you picked your fall lesson slot yet? Lessons start the week of September 10th–which is right around the corner! Don’t delay or you could miss out on your optimal lesson time.
